It’s no secret that the COVID-19 virus outbreak has affected our community in more ways than one. Not only with a health impact, but a financial one as well. Several local businesses – mainly those in the service and hospitality industry – have seen big financial loss due to self-quarantining and being shut down to help stop the spread of the virus. There may be relief, though, for small businesses who need help to stay afloat during this crisis. Over the weekend, Gov. Ron DeSantis announced the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity approved its first two Small Business Emergency Bridge Loans to help small businesses in the immediate future.
